All is set for the much-anticipated Twalipo Sports Bonanza, scheduled to take place from November 29 to 30, 2024, at the 95 KJ grounds.

Organizers promise an exciting event featuring competitive action in handball and basketball for both men and women.

Speaking to The Responded, event coordinator Moshi Ally confirmed that preparations are well underway and called on participating teams to submit their final player rosters by tomorrow, the official deadline.

“We’re making great progress with the preparations. However, we urge all teams to finalize and submit their player lists by tomorrow to allow the organizing committee enough time to complete logistical arrangements,” Ally said.

The bonanza will showcase fierce competition in two key sports: handball and basketball. Participating handball teams include Victory, Ngome (both men and women), PT, Mlamleni (men), Nyamonge, and Dar Youth (women). In basketball, Kigamboni Queens and Ukonga Queens will battle for the championship title.

Ally explained that the event aims to foster community engagement through sports and to identify top talent for the Dar es Salaam regional handball team that will compete in the Taifa Cup.

In terms of prizes, the handball champion will walk away with TZS 300,000, while the runner-up will receive TZS 200,000.

For basketball, the winning team will be awarded TZS 500,000, with the second-place team earning TZS 300,000.

“This bonanza is not just about competition; it’s an opportunity to bring the community together and promote the spirit of sportsmanship while scouting for exceptional talent,” Ally added.

Sports enthusiasts and the general public are encouraged to attend and support their favorite teams in what promises to be an exhilarating and memorable event.
