Tanzania Telecommunications Corporation (TTCL) has introduced its new “WALETE” campaign, aiming to provide high-quality and affordable communication services to customers across the country.
The campaign focuses on offering a range of enhanced packages for Minutes, Internet, and SMS, tailored to meet the needs of customers in both urban and rural areas.
At the launch event in Dar es Salaam, TTCL’s Business Director, Vedastus Mwita, explained that the “WALETE” campaign’s primary goal is to expand TTCL’s reach and deliver services suited to the evolving needs of all Tanzanians, especially as digital technology becomes more integral to everyday life.
As part of the “WALETE” initiative, TTCL has revamped its packages to include generous BONUSES on select bundles. Among these is the “Jiachie Xtraa” package, which provides customers with extensive time to make calls across all networks and send SMS at affordable rates, with no time restrictions.
Another package, T-Connect Plus, offers additional talk time, allowing customers to enjoy Internet, SMS, and calling minutes across all networks.
Mwita also noted that TTCL has improved digital access to vouchers to keep up with the increasing demand for online services. Customers can now conveniently purchase vouchers through digital T-RUSHA agents.
Vouchers are also available via T-Pesa, and through banks such as CRDB, NMB, and Selcom, along with other mobile networks. Traditional scratch vouchers remain available through TTCL’s agents and stores.
Speaking on the updated “Bufee Tena” package, which now offers more affordable options, Mwita highlighted that customers can customize their package, choosing from various levels of Minutes, SMS, or Data based on their preferences.
Clayton Chipando, also known as Baba Levo—a popular Wasafi FM presenter and musician—serves as the campaign’s ambassador. He praised TTCL’s Internet quality, emphasizing its affordability and reliability for fast browsing.
“With TTCL, Tanzanians can experience fast and affordable Internet like never before,” said Baba Levo.
He added that he looks forward to promoting TTCL’s affordable, high-quality packages and Data services, which offer unmatched value for customers across Tanzania.
