iTel
Tanzania has officially launched its highly anticipated A80 smartphone, a major
addition to its A-series lineup. The new model, a successor to the iTel A70,
comes packed with cutting-edge features aimed at elevating the mobile
experience for users in Tanzania.
The
A80 boasts a 6.7-inch display with punch-hole technology for its selfie camera,
offering an immersive viewing experience. Powered by a robust 5000mAh battery,
the phone ensures up to 31 hours of continuous phone calls, providing all-day
battery life for users. This makes it an ideal choice for those seeking
long-lasting performance.
The
smartphone also comes with 4G connectivity, ensuring users enjoy high-speed
internet access. It features Smart Link+ technology, which enhances signal
stability, enabling automatic repairs in areas with weak network coverage and
reducing latency by 20%. This is particularly beneficial for users in rural or
remote regions, where network signals are often less reliable.
In
terms of security, the iTel A80 offers both fingerprint and facial recognition,
providing users with convenient and secure access to their devices. The phone
also comes with 128GB of internal storage, expandable with up to 8GB RAM,
allowing for smooth multitasking and ample space for apps, photos, and media.
Additionally, the A80 features a 13-megapixel front camera and a 50-megapixel
rear camera with HDR technology, ensuring high-quality photos in various lighting
conditions. The camera's AI capabilities can automatically optimize over 16
different scenes, such as portraits, pets, landscapes, food, and more, to
deliver the best shot every time.
During
the launch event, iTel Marketing Manager, Sophia Msafiri, highlighted the
phone’s sleek design, available in Glacier White, Wave Blue, and Sandstone
Black. The phone also comes with a 36-month warranty, reflecting iTel's
commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
The
new iTel A80 is powered by the T603 octa-core LTE chipset with AI capabilities,
which enhances the device’s performance across apps and tasks. This ensures a
fluid user experience, reducing lag and improving overall responsiveness.
Airtel
Tanzania has partnered with iTel to bring the A80 to the market, making it
available in Airtel stores nationwide. Asnat Mboya, Airtel Tanzania’s Online
Product Manager, shared that the phone is priced at TShs 275,000, which
includes a 100GB data bundle. For those opting for credit purchases, a down
payment of Tsh 55,000 is required, with an additional offer of up to 250GB data
for the entire year.
Celebrity
ambassador Nancy Moshi, who has been a part of iTel's campaign since the A50,
introduced the A80 with an exciting promotion offering 75GB of data. She also announced
a special campaign to promote the new smartphone through her TikTok platform,
where she will engage with her audience, answer questions, and provide delivery
services for those interested in purchasing the device.
The
iTel A80 is now available for purchase at Airtel outlets across Tanzania,
offering an affordable yet feature-packed option for both urban and rural
customers.
