Saudi Arabia celebrated its 94th National Day, marking its national day of Saudi Arabia of unifying.

The kingdom's founding leader, King Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud, is remembered for unifying the country.

In Tanzania, the Saudi Arabian Embassy commemorated the occasion on September 23 with an event at Johari Rotana Hotel in Dar es Salaam.

The celebration, led by Saudi Ambassador Yahya bin Ahmed Okeish, was attended by government officials, ambassadors, and diplomats.

The guest of honor was Hon. Ridhiwani Kikwete, Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, responsible for Labour, Youth, Employment, and Persons with Disabilities.

He conveyed greetings from President Samia Suluhu Hassan and thanked Saudi Arabia for its continued cooperation with Tanzania.

“The partnership between our countries has brought benefits in areas like agriculture, education, defense, and social services,” said Minister Ridhiwani.

He mentioned the recent visit of Saudi heart surgeons, who performed surgeries on 30 children with heart conditions.

“This is a clear example of our strong relationship,” he added.

Minister Ridhiwani also expressed gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s support through the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), which has funded projects in energy, transport, water, and health.

“The government and people of Tanzania deeply appreciate this ongoing support,” he said.

In his speech, Ambassador Yahya bin Ahmed Okeish assured Tanzania of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to strengthening their bilateral relationship.

“We are dedicated to continuing our cooperation for the mutual benefit of our two countries,” he said.

The ambassador also praised Tanzania for its political stability and peaceful nature. “Tanzania stands out for its culture of tolerance and cooperation.

It has become a regional leader in promoting peace and resolving conflicts in Africa,” noted Ambassador Yahya.

This year’s celebration was held under the leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, reflecting the strong and growing ties between Saudi Arabia and Tanzania.
