One of the best moments that highlighted the 2024 Community Shield medal giving ceremony was the warm handshake and hug between Young Africans president Hersi Said and Azam's attacking midfielder Feisal Salum.
The photo of the duo embracing during the medal giving platform after the hot match went viral on social media platforms signifying that football is all about happiness regardless what transpired in the past.
After Feisal's controversial switch from Yanga to Azam last year, he was quoted in one of his interviews that Hersi was the reason he decided to leave the Jangwani street based club.
He claimed that his relationship with Yanga's president was sour as such, he could return back to rejoin his former team only if Hersi was no longer occupying the top seat at the club.
His statement literally meant that the two individuals were not in good terms but that was not the case yesterday as they warmly shook hands and embraced each other with a smile plus a bit talk.
This scenario captured attention of many people who had been waiting for a long time to see how Feisal would react when he encounters his former boss face to face.
However, Feisal was the one who netted the first goal of the tense finale which came in the 13th minute to silence the home fans at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
His celebration style in front of many Yanga fans meant that he had no mercy at all to punish his former employer unlike other players who barely celebrate when they score against their ex-teams.
Another extraordinary thing came few minutes later when Prince Dube, the former Azam net-burster equalised for Yanga thereby putting back his team in the contest and they went on to emerge 4-1 victors.
