By Our Special Correspondent

Young Africans president Hersi Said has disclosed that Haji Manara will be given other responsibilities at the club after ending his two-year suspension sentence he was slapped by the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF).

He made the remarks on Wednesday in Dar es Salaam while responding to a question concerning the bearer of the club's Information Officer position between Manara and Ally Kamwe.

"For now, Manara is just a member of our club and as management, we are searching for another opportunity for him to execute his responsibilities within the club.

"As such, Kamwe is our Information Officer," Hersi remarked while acknowledging good works performed by Manara as Information Officer before he was suspended.

Again, he revealed that the initial 20m/- that Manara was fined alongside with the two-year suspension was later reduced to 10m/- after further negotiations with the federation.

Manara was convicted in July 2022 after allegedly uttering inappropriate words to the incumbent TFF president Wallace Karia during an FA Cup final match between Young Africans against Coastal Union at Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium in Arusha.
