Dar es Salaam. The Mining Commission has been actively creating awareness to visitors at 48th Dar es Salaam International Tarde Fair (DITF), Sabasaba exhibitions, on the myriad opportunities available in Tanzania's mineral sector.
The commission’s pavilion has attracted a significant number
of attendees interested in exploring the potential within the mining industry.
The Commission's staff have provided detailed information on
various aspects of the sector, including exploration, mining, mineral trade,
and the implementation of Local Content Regulations.
These regulations aim to ensure that Tanzanian businesses
and workers benefit from the mineral industry's activities, fostering economic
growth and development within the country.
One of the highlights of the exhibition has been the
demonstration of the Online Mining Cadastre Transactional Portal.
Visitors had shown how to register for mining licenses
through this digital platform, streamlining the application process and
increasing transparency within the sector.
The ease of use and accessibility of the portal have been
emphasized, encouraging more local and international investors to participate
in the Tanzanian mining industry.
Additionally, the Commission has introduced visitors to
advanced technology used in the mining sector, including the XRF machine.
This device is crucial for identifying the metallic mineral
content in various samples, providing accurate and rapid results that are
essential for efficient exploration and mining operations.
The educational efforts by the Mining Commission at the
Sabasaba exhibitions have been well-received, with many visitors expressing
newfound interest and confidence in pursuing opportunities within Tanzania's
dynamic mineral sector.
