Puma Energy Tanzania has launched an eight-week countrywide tour to promote its PumaGas products, with the initiative expected to give consumers in five regions greater access to information about liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and its safe use.
The tour was launched on September 3, 2026, at the Puma service station in Bunju, Dar es Salaam, and will take the company’s team to Dar es Salaam, Pwani, Morogoro and Dodoma before concluding in Mwanza.
The initiative comes as Tanzania continues efforts to increase the use of cleaner cooking energy and reduce reliance on traditional fuels such as charcoal and firewood.
For consumers, the tour is expected to provide an opportunity to interact directly with Puma Energy representatives, obtain information about PumaGas and learn more about the safe handling and use of LPG.
The campaign could also help improve public awareness of cleaner cooking alternatives, particularly among households and small businesses that depend on cooking energy for their daily activities.
Puma Energy has maintained a presence in Tanzania’s energy market through its network of service stations and other fuel and energy-related services.
The company has increasingly positioned LPG as one of the alternatives available to households seeking more convenient and cleaner cooking solutions.
The eight-week programme will allow the company to engage consumers across different communities, respond to questions about its products and gather feedback on the needs of customers.
The tour is scheduled to end in Mwanza after passing through the four regions identified in the programme.
As Tanzania works to expand access to cleaner cooking energy, initiatives that bring information and services closer to consumers are expected to play a role in encouraging households and businesses to consider alternatives that can reduce dependence on traditional cooking fuels.
