GEITA—Gold miners in Geita Region say the ongoing national mining technology exhibition is giving them easier access to equipment, helping them address one of the key challenges facing small and medium-scale mining operations.

Seefu Rajab Seef, director of Gold Mine in Nyakagwe Village, Butobela Ward, said the ninth National Mining Technology Exhibition had brought equipment suppliers closer to miners, making it easier to identify and purchase machinery needed at mining sites.

He said miners could access equipment including haulage trucks, excavators, crushers and compressors at the exhibition being held at the Dkt Samia Suluhu Hassan grounds in Geita Municipality.

Mr Seef said he had already purchased two compressors during the exhibition.

“The exhibition has made it easier for us to access mining equipment. We are able to meet suppliers and acquire the machinery we need for our operations,” he said.

He said improved access to modern equipment could help miners improve their operations and efficiency, while also encouraging more stakeholders to participate in the exhibition.

Mr Seef also urged mining stakeholders to use the exhibition to explore available equipment, technologies and other opportunities that could support their businesses.

The ninth National Mining Technology Exhibition brings together players in the mining sector, including miners, equipment suppliers and other service providers.
