Simba SC continued their strong start to the NBC Premier League season after securing a 2-1 victory over Pamba Jiji at CCM Kirumba Stadium in Mwanza on August 19, 2026.

The win marked Simba’s second consecutive victory, taking their tally to six points from two matches and keeping them among the early pace-setters in the league.

Simba made their intentions clear from the opening stages, taking control of the match and breaking the deadlock in the 18th minute through Clatous Chama.

The visitors continued to press and were rewarded with a second goal in the 30th minute, with Anicet Oura finding the net to give Simba a comfortable 2-0 advantage heading into half-time.

Pamba Jiji responded with greater urgency after the break as they looked to revive their chances. Simba, meanwhile, attempted to manage the game and protect their two-goal cushion.

The hosts were handed an opportunity to reduce the deficit after Simba committed a foul inside the penalty area, prompting the referee to award a penalty.

Idris Diomande made no mistake from the spot in the 73rd minute, pulling one goal back for Pamba Jiji and setting up a tense finish.

The goal gave Pamba Jiji renewed confidence, with the home side pushing forward in search of an equaliser. However, Simba’s defence stood firm during the closing stages to preserve the 2-1 lead.

The final whistle confirmed another important victory for Simba, who have now collected maximum points from their opening two matches.

The result provides Simba with an encouraging start to their league campaign, while Pamba Jiji will have to regroup and look for points in their upcoming fixtures.
