The Ministry of Health has teamed up with the Prime Minister’s Office–Regional Administration and Local Government (PMO-RALG) and non-governmental organisation ICAp to review a new digital platform designed to connect health projects with skilled professionals, funding opportunities and other resources.
The Tanzania Resource and Talent Hub is being reviewed during a three-day stakeholder meeting that began in Mwanza on August 26, 2026, and will run until August 28.
The meeting is seeking views from stakeholders on how the platform can be strengthened to make it more useful to health institutions looking for expertise, financial support and other resources required to implement projects.
Under the proposed system, information on professionals, funding opportunities and available resources will be brought together in one platform, making it easier for health institutions to identify potential partners and support.
The initiative could help address one of the challenges facing health projects—connecting identified needs with organisations and professionals that have the resources or technical capacity to respond.
Stakeholders are expected to assess the platform and recommend improvements that would make it easier to use and more responsive to the priorities of the health sector.
The review is also intended to ensure that the platform supports better coordination of resources and expertise, particularly in areas where health institutions require additional technical or financial support to implement priority projects.
For citizens, an effective system could contribute indirectly to better health services by helping institutions access the expertise and resources needed to implement programmes more efficiently.
The meeting will conclude with recommendations aimed at improving the platform and strengthening its role in mobilising resources for Tanzania’s health sector.
