Thousands of Tanzanians now have an opportunity to win smartphones every week after Yas Tanzania launched a new customer campaign aimed at promoting the use of digital services through its mobile application.
The campaign, titled “Register, Login and Win,” was officially launched during the 50th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (SabaSaba), where visitors are being encouraged to download and register on the Yas App for a chance to enter a weekly draw.
Under the promotion, customers who successfully register on the app at the Yas exhibition booth are automatically entered into a weekly raffle, with four winners set to receive the ZTE A35 smartphone every week. The campaign will run for 90 days.
Speaking during the launch, Yas Tanzania Manager for Youth Services and Special Customer Groups, Ikunda Ngowi, said the initiative is designed to increase the use of digital platforms while making it easier for customers to access mobile services.
He said the Yas App allows users to buy internet bundles, voice and SMS packages, check their balance, and manage all Yas services in one place without visiting service centres.
According to Ngowi, the campaign is part of the company’s wider efforts to support digital transformation and encourage customers to shift from traditional service channels to more convenient digital solutions.
He invited members of the public attending the SabaSaba exhibition to visit the Yas booth, download the app, and register to participate in the weekly draws.
One of the customers, Julius Mtambalike, who registered during the event, said the campaign has encouraged him to use the Yas App more frequently, noting that it makes it easier to manage mobile services in one place.
He said the app has simplified processes such as purchasing bundles and checking balances, adding that the opportunity to win a smartphone is an added motivation for customers to embrace digital tools.
The campaign is expected to increase the adoption of digital services across the country, while improving customer convenience and strengthening engagement between Yas and its users.
Through the initiative, Yas Tanzania aims to promote wider use of mobile technology in everyday life as part of efforts to advance the country’s digital economy.
