Investment advisory firm Victory Financial Services Limited is using the 50th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (Sabasaba) to encourage more Tanzanians to participate in the country's capital markets by investing in shares, government bonds, and collective investment schemes.
Speaking at the exhibition, the company's Head of Administration, Amedeus Raphael, said the firm is helping visitors open investment accounts on-site while providing free financial education and investment guidance.
Raphael said the company, a licensed broker on the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE), assists investors in purchasing shares of listed companies, government bonds, municipal bonds, and corporate debt securities, while also offering market research to support informed investment decisions.
He said investment opportunities are available to all Tanzanians aged 18 and above, while minors can invest through accounts opened by their parents or legal guardians.
"Investment is about discipline rather than the amount of money you start with. Building the habit of investing today can help secure a stronger financial future," he said.
The company is also using the exhibition to raise awareness of Tanzania's growing collective investment fund industry, offering investors a range of professionally managed investment products tailored to different financial goals.
She said investing in shares begins with purchasing a minimum of 10 shares in any listed company, with the required starting capital depending on each company's market price.
"Our role is to simplify investing by providing free education, professional advice and continuous market analysis so investors can make informed decisions," she said.
Victory Financial Services has offices in Dar es Salaam and Arusha and is participating in the trade fair to expand public awareness of investment opportunities available through Tanzania's capital markets.
