Azam FC head coach Florent Ibenge has called on the club’s supporters to turn out in large numbers at the Azam Complex in Chamazi to celebrate the team’s qualification for the CAF Confederation Cup next season, following a strong campaign in the 2025/26 season of the NBC Premier League Tanzania.

The invitation comes after Azam FC secured a crucial 2-0 victory over Fountain Gate FC in a league match played at the Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium in Arusha.

The win not only strengthened Azam’s position in the league standings but also confirmed their return to continental football for the 2026/27 season.

Speaking after the match, Ibenge said he was pleased with his team’s performance, noting that the result reflected the players’ commitment and determination to achieve their season objectives.

He emphasized that securing all three points was vital in guaranteeing their place in the CAF Confederation Cup.

He added that the squad had worked tirelessly throughout the season and deserved to share the achievement with their fans.

According to him, the upcoming home fixture will provide a perfect opportunity for supporters and players to celebrate together in front of their home crowd.

“We managed to collect the three important points we needed. In the next match, we will be celebrating qualification for the CAF Confederation Cup, so I invite our fans to come in large numbers so that we can enjoy this success together,” said Ibenge.

The coach also acknowledged that many supporters were unable to travel to Arusha due to the distance, but expressed confidence that they would fill the stands at the Azam Complex for the next home game.

The match is set to be staged at the Azam Complex, where Azam FC is expected to officially mark their qualification with celebrations alongside their fans.

Azam FC currently sits in third place on the league table with 55 points, a position that has already secured them a ticket to continental football.

The achievement marks another important milestone in the club’s continued rise in Tanzanian and African football.

Their qualification reflects a season of consistency, discipline, and strong tactical leadership, as the team maintained competitive performances both home and away.

As attention now shifts to the final fixtures and celebrations, Azam FC is set to reward its supporters with a memorable home occasion celebrating a successful season and a return to the continental stage.
