The Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA) has intensified efforts to promote investment and strengthen partnerships with international investors by participating in the American Chamber of Commerce in Tanzania (AmCham) Northern Tanzania Regional Engagement held on April 8, 2026 in Arusha.
The engagement followed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between TISEZA and AmCham aimed at strengthening collaboration in investment promotion and investor support across Tanzania.
The initiative brought together key government stakeholders and U.S. investors operating in the regions of Arusha and Kilimanjaro.
It provided a strategic platform for dialogue on improving Tanzania’s investment climate, identifying opportunities, and addressing challenges affecting investors in the northern investment corridor.
One of the key highlights of the engagement was TISEZA’s participation in the Consultative Business Roundtable and Networking Session.
The session facilitated high-level discussions between government officials and private sector representatives on investment opportunities in sectors such as manufacturing, tourism, logistics, and services.
Through the discussions, investors had the opportunity to share experiences, raise concerns and explore ways of strengthening collaboration with the government to further improve the business environment.
As part of the engagement, TISEZA also scheduled project and company site visits on April 9 and 10, 2026 in Arusha and Kilimanjaro regions.
During these visits, the Authority is engaging directly with U.S.-affiliated enterprises operating in the areas.
The visits are expected to provide valuable insights into on-the-ground operations of companies, allowing TISEZA to better understand investor needs, gather feedback on the investment environment and identify areas requiring policy or administrative improvements.
In addition, the direct engagement aims to strengthen relationships between the Authority and investors while exploring opportunities for expansion and new investments in Tanzania.
By interacting closely with investors and observing operational environments firsthand, TISEZA seeks to enhance its ability to provide efficient support services and improve the investment facilitation process.
The participation in the AmCham regional engagement underscores TISEZA’s continued commitment to positioning Tanzania as a preferred investment destination in Africa.
Through strategic collaborations with private sector organizations and international investors, the Authority aims to strengthen public-private partnerships that are crucial for sustainable economic growth.
TISEZA also reaffirmed its commitment to supporting investor needs through proactive engagement, policy dialogue and investment facilitation initiatives designed to attract and retain high-quality investments.
Such engagements are part of broader efforts to promote Tanzania’s industrialization agenda and accelerate economic development through increased domestic and foreign investments.
Representing TISEZA at the engagement was Mr. Kanuti Mosha, Zonal Manager for the Northern Zone, who was accompanied by other officials from the Authority’s headquarters.
The Authority noted that continued dialogue with investors and business associations remains essential in building a conducive business environment and ensuring that Tanzania remains competitive in attracting global investment.
