Preparations for 2026 Golden Sabasaba Expo Intensify

Preparations for the 2026 Sabasaba Expo, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary, are gaining momentum as stakeholders gather to finalize strategies for a landmark event.

During a high-level meeting, officials reviewed progress reports highlighting measures to ensure that this year’s expo sets new benchmarks in quality, innovation, and competitiveness. 

The discussions focused on attracting a larger number of participants from both within Tanzania and abroad.

Chairing the meeting, Ambassador Rajab Salum, Chairman of the Expo Committee and Secretary-General of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, expressed satisfaction with the strides made in planning. 

He emphasized that the 2026 edition should not only celebrate the event’s legacy but also drive economic growth through active participation of all sectors.

Ambassador Salum further stressed the importance of involving young entrepreneurs, innovators, and start-ups, alongside established businesses and service providers. 

He noted that broad engagement would enhance individual enterprise growth while boosting the nation’s economy, ensuring that the Golden Sabasaba Expo leaves a lasting impact.
