Sports betting company PigaBet has officially announced a TZS1 billion sponsorship deal with Fountain Gate FC, signaling a major boost for football development in Tanzania.
The partnership is designed to strengthen the club’s long-term competitiveness, increase fan engagement, and promote sports as a platform for social cohesion and economic growth.
Through this sponsorship, PigaBet has shown strong confidence in Fountain Gate FC’s future, particularly in nurturing young talent and creating opportunities within the country’s sports sector.
The deal will officially commence on April 9, 2026, when Fountain Gate FC takes on Simba SC at Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium in Arusha, marking the start of a promising new chapter for the club and its supporters.
Fountain Gate FC President Japhet Makau said the sponsorship will boost morale across the club, not only for management but also for players.
He added that a portion of the funds will be distributed as performance-based bonuses, rewarding players according to the team’s league results.
“We believe this partnership will motivate the club and players, ensuring they are rewarded for their performance on the pitch,” Makau said, emphasizing that players will be directly involved in discussions on how the incentive system will work.
The TZS1 billion sponsorship is expected to set a benchmark for football partnerships in Tanzania, providing both financial support and strategic backing to help Fountain Gate FC achieve greater success in the coming seasons.
