The Kagera Development Foundation (KADEFO) has invited all people from Kagera Region living in different parts of Tanzania, including Dar es Salaam, to attend its annual general meeting scheduled for May 10, 2026.
The invitation was issued by KADEFO Chairperson, Ambassador Liberata Mulamula, who said the gathering is a routine annual event aimed at strengthening unity and cooperation among people from Kagera while also discussing the region’s development priorities and investment opportunities.
She said the meeting provides an important platform for bringing together Kagera natives to reflect on development progress, identify opportunities, and enhance collaboration in promoting socio-economic growth.
“We welcome all Kagera people to this meeting that brings us together, strengthens our unity, and helps us build our region. The gathering will be held at Hekima Garden in Mikocheni, Kinondoni, Dar es Salaam, starting at 9:00 in the evening. The guest of honour is expected to be the Minister for Livestock and Fisheries, Ambassador Dr. Bashiru Kakurwa,” said Ambassador Mulamula.
She added that KADEFO aims to promote unity and solidarity among Kagera people, encourage them to benefit from business and investment opportunities in neighbouring countries, and work closely with the government to attract investment for regional development.
Ambassador Mulamula also called on members to contribute TZS 50,000 each to support the organization of the event and ensure its successful implementation.
