Former Tanzanian Ambassador to Sweden, Mobhare Matinyi, has lauded staff from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism for their dedication in promoting Tanzania during the ‘My Tanzania Roadshow 2026’ across Northern Europe.

The roadshow, organized by the Tanzania Tourism Board (TTB), the Tanzania National Parks Authority (TANAPA), the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA), and the Tanzanian Embassy, ran from March 8 to March 13, 2026, covering Germany, Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.

Its goal was to showcase Tanzania’s unique attractions and strengthen the country’s presence in key European tourism markets.

Speaking during a meeting with the staff on March 14 in Sweden, Ambassador Matinyi praised their commitment, saying the efforts are vital for the growth of Tanzania’s tourism sector and for enhancing international cooperation.

He also highlighted that these initiatives align with the government’s strategic plan to increase tourist arrivals to eight million by 2030.

Ambassador Matinyi urged the staff to continue collaborating closely with industry stakeholders to ensure that Tanzania’s natural and cultural attractions reach global audiences, contributing to the country’s economic growth and international profile.
