The Information and Communications Manager of the Tanzania Professional Boxing Coaches Association (TPBCA), Dauka Somba, has held a meeting with the Vice Chairman of the Tanzania Professional Boxing Regulatory Commission (TPBRC), Jacob Mbuya, to discuss strategies aimed at strengthening professional boxing in the country.
The meeting took place today at the TPBRC offices in Ilala, Dar es Salaam, bringing together leaders from the two bodies that play a key role in overseeing and developing professional boxing in Tanzania.
During the discussion, the two sides focused on strengthening cooperation between the commission and the coaches’ association in order to improve the management and development of the sport.
They also discussed the importance of closer collaboration among stakeholders to promote professionalism, improve coordination in organizing boxing events and create more opportunities for boxers and coaches.
The meeting marked Somba’s first official engagement with the commission’s leadership since he was appointed Information and Communications Manager of TPBCA earlier this week.
Stakeholders believe stronger cooperation between TPBCA and TPBRC will contribute to improving standards in professional boxing while creating a more structured environment for the growth of the sport in Tanzania.
