Simba SC will face hosts Pamba Jiji FC in a highly anticipated NBC Premier League clash scheduled for March 19, 2026 at CCM Kirumba Stadium, with both sides targeting maximum points.
Speaking during a pre-match press conference on March 18, coaches and players from the two teams expressed confidence while acknowledging the tough contest expected in Mwanza.
Simba head coach Steve Barker said his side is aware of the challenge awaiting them, particularly after playing several consecutive away matches in a tight fixture schedule.
He noted that despite the demanding calendar and the strength of their opponents, the team has prepared well to secure victory.
“We understand that it will not be an easy match. Our schedule has been tight and we have played several away games, but the players are well prepared and focused on achieving our target of collecting three points,” he said.
Simba midfielder Morice Abraham echoed the coach’s confidence, saying the team has trained well physically, tactically and mentally ahead of the match.
“We have prepared well in all aspects. We have come to Mwanza ready to compete and ensure we return with the three points,” he said.
For the hosts, Pamba Jiji head coach Francis Baraza said his side understands the magnitude of facing one of the country’s biggest clubs but remains determined to protect their home ground.
He stressed that the team will approach the match with discipline and caution while aiming to secure victory in front of their supporters.
“Our objective is to remain strong at home and fight for the three points. We know Simba is a strong team, but we are ready for the challenge,” he said.
Pamba Jiji player Michael Samamba called on fans to fill the stands at Kirumba Stadium, saying the team draws strength from the support of the home crowd.
“We encourage our supporters to come in large numbers and support the team. Playing at home gives us motivation and we are ready to fight for victory,” he said.
The encounter is expected to be fiercely contested as both sides seek valuable points in the ongoing league campaign.
