By The Respondents Reporter

Suma Ikenda Fyandomo, Member of Parliament for Special Seats representing Mbeya Region, has reaffirmed her commitment to advancing women’s interests by promoting economic empowerment.

Speaking at a Women’s Night event in Mbeya City, she stressed the critical role of financial independence in protecting women from abuse, including domestic violence, which often stems from economic hardship.

Hon. Fyandomo encouraged women to take full advantage of the ten percent loan facility offered by local councils to strengthen their businesses and personal economic stability.

She also advised women to use these loans wisely, avoiding non-essential expenses that could hinder repayment, ensuring the sustainability of the program for the benefit of other women in the community.

By highlighting practical steps for financial empowerment, Fyandomo continues to represent the voices of women in Parliament effectively, emphasizing self-reliance and economic participation as tools for social protection and empowerment.
