Security in Dar es Salaam remains calm as the Special Police Zone continues to thank residents for their strong cooperation in fighting crime.
Authorities, however, have reported incidents of motorbike and car riders moving through the city while creating excessive engine noise that mimics explosions, an act that violates the Road Safety Act.
Following complaints about disturbances in residential areas, four suspects have been arrested along with their motorbikes.
They include Abdallah Masumbuko, also known as Makute, a resident of Tabata; Julius Dismas, also known as Nyakamwe, from Mwananyamala; Salehe Ally, also known as Kajemo, from Kijitonyama; and Mohamed Rashid from Magomeni.
The suspects are currently in police custody, and further legal measures are being taken to ensure they face the appropriate authorities.
The police urge all road users, particularly motorbike riders, to strictly observe traffic laws and road safety regulations, ensuring they do not disturb or endanger the public.
