The Governor of the Bank of Tanzania (BoT), Mr. Emmanuel Tutuba, has reassured international investors that Tanzania’s financial sector offers a secure and investor-friendly environment, emphasizing the country’s readiness for increased investments.

Governor Tutuba made the remarks on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, during an exclusive interview at the BoT headquarters in Dodoma.

“This is the perfect time for investors in the financial sector and other industries. Tanzania has a large market, political and economic stability, a clear national development agenda, and policies that actively support investment,” he said.

On investment security, Governor Tutuba highlighted that BoT continues to closely supervise the financial sector to maintain stability and safety for investors.

He noted that the Bank is upgrading oversight systems, including the implementation of a modern Real-Time Supervision System, which will enable real-time monitoring of financial data and allow early identification of potential risks within financial institutions.

Governor Tutuba also pointed to Tanzania’s strong economic growth as a key factor for investment. The country’s economy is projected to grow by 6.3 percent in 2026, surpassing the global average and signaling expanding opportunities for investors across multiple sectors.
