Azam FC and Tanzania Prisons SC are preparing for a high-stakes encounter tomorrow at Sokoine Stadium in Mbeya, with both teams determined to secure crucial league points.

Azam’s head coach, Florent Ibenge, confirmed that his squad has completed preparations and is ready for the match.

Despite a tight schedule and having played matches just a few days ago, Ibenge said his players are motivated to achieve positive results.

“Even with these challenges, we have had some time to rest and adapt to the local weather conditions. I am confident we can accomplish our goal of securing the three important points,” he said.

Ibenge also noted that five of his players, including Feisal Salum, are expected to miss the game.

On the other side, Tanzania Prisons head coach, Sergeant Shadrack Nsajigwa, stated that his team is well-prepared to face Azam.

“We recognize that Azam is a strong team with highly skilled players, especially considering their participation in international competitions. However, we believe in our ability to compete and keep the three points at home,” Nsajigwa said.

He added, “We will play with respect and determination, and we are confident it will be a competitive match if both teams are aiming for the three points.”

Tanzania Prisons midfielder Samson Mbagula emphasized that the players have trained sufficiently and are ready to follow the coaching staff’s instructions to claim victory.
