The Deputy Minister for Industry and Trade, Dennis Lazaro Londo, together with the Director General of the Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TANTRADE), Dr. Latifa Mohamed Khamis, took part in a strategic Government-to-Business (G2B) meeting with transport and logistics sector stakeholders in Dubai.

The meeting focused on strengthening trade cooperation and increasing business opportunities between Tanzania and neighboring countries, including Uganda, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Burundi, and Rwanda.

During the meeting, Londo emphasized the importance of strengthening transport and logistics infrastructure to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the competitiveness of Tanzanian goods in regional and international markets.

He noted that improved transport systems are critical for supporting traders, manufacturers, and exporters, while also contributing to economic growth and job creation.

Stakeholders from the transport sector had the opportunity to exchange views, share experiences, and discuss available trade and investment opportunities, particularly those that support cross-border trade and regional integration.

Speaking on behalf of TANTRADE, Dr. Latifa Mohamed Khamis stated that the Authority continues to implement practical measures to support the Government’s efforts to promote trade and investment.

She reaffirmed TANTRADE’s commitment to facilitating market access for Tanzanian products, strengthening partnerships with international stakeholders, and ensuring that citizens benefit from expanded trade opportunities.
