President Samia to swear in newly appointed government leaders

President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, is today expected to swear in a number of senior government officials she recently appointed, in a ceremony aimed at strengthening leadership across key public institutions.

Those to take the oath of office include Regional Commissioners, Permanent Secretaries, the Executive Secretary of the National Planning Commission, Regional Administrative Secretaries, Deputy Permanent Secretaries, the Deputy Executive Secretary of the National Planning Commission, as well as Ambassadors.

The swearing-in ceremony will take place at State House in Dar es Salaam, starting at 5:00 a.m.

The appointments reflect the President’s continued efforts to enhance efficiency, accountability and coordination within the public service as the government pushes forward with the implementation of its development agenda.
