Mbeya City Council has approved a budget of over TZS 110 billion for the 2026/2027 financial year, alongside strategic plans to increase revenue and accelerate development projects across the city.
The budget was endorsed during a council meeting chaired by His Worship the Mayor, Dormohamed Issa, who stressed that the allocation is designed to improve residents’ lives and deliver visible development.
Council members, including Dr. Tulia Ackson, Member of Parliament for Uyole, attended the session and emphasized the importance of ensuring that every shilling spent generates tangible benefits for the community.
The approved budget will fund initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure, social services, and economic opportunities, reinforcing Mbeya City’s commitment to inclusive growth and sustainable development.
