The Minister of Energy, Deogratius Ndejembi, has met with the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Tanzania, Saud Al-Shidhani, to discuss strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the oil and gas sector.
The meeting was held on 17 February 2026 at the Ministry of Energy sub-offices in Dar es Salaam.
During the talks, the two leaders discussed key areas of collaboration aimed at accelerating Tanzania’s energy sector development.
These included the exchange of technical expertise, professional training for Tanzanian experts, the use of modern oil and gas extraction technologies, and effective management of petroleum projects.
Special emphasis was placed on enhancing cooperation between the Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC) and Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) to promote knowledge transfer, strengthen institutional capacity, and ensure sustainable development of oil and gas resources.
The discussions reflect the Government’s continued commitment to building strong international partnerships that contribute to national economic growth, job creation, and improved energy security for the benefit of all citizens.
