Young Africans Sports Club (Yanga) have officially appointed Marques Pereira Da Silva as their new assistant coach, taking over from Fillipe Pedro, who has left the club’s technical bench.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the club said Da Silva has already joined the technical team and will immediately be involved in preparations for upcoming fixtures in the NBC Tanzania Mainland Premier League, as well as other domestic and international competitions.

Yanga said the appointment is part of a strategic move aimed at strengthening the technical bench as the club seeks to sustain its competitiveness and push for continued success this season.

The club added that Da Silva is expected to work closely with the head coach and the rest of the technical staff to enhance team performance and ensure consistency across competitions.

His arrival comes at a crucial stage of the season, as Yanga intensify their preparations in pursuit of silverware both at home and on the continental stage.
