The Ministry of Home Affairs is counting on staff unity and cooperation to boost efficiency and improve service delivery,Permanent Secretary Ally Gugu has said.
Speaking at the Ministry’s Staff Council meeting at Msalato Hall, Gugu said teamwork remains the foundation for achieving the ministry’s goals and ensuring that government services reach citizens effectively.
“The strength of any institution lies in the ability of its staff to work together, support one another, and maintain high standards of professionalism. This is what drives results,” he said.
The meeting, the first for the 2025/2026 financial year, reviewed the implementation of the ministry’s budget from July to December 2025 and explored strategies for the upcoming months to enhance operational performance.
Gugu emphasized that collaboration between leaders and staff is critical in day-to-day work, noting that ethical conduct, discipline, and mutual respect not only improve internal efficiency but also enhance the quality of services provided to Tanzanians.
“By fostering a culture of integrity and cooperation, we are ensuring that the Ministry of Home Affairs performs at its best, benefiting both the institution and the people we serve,” he added.
