The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation is using the 12th Zanzibar International Trade Fair (ZITF) as a strategic platform to engage the public and stakeholders on its mandate and ongoing initiatives, with a strong focus on economic diplomacy and regional cooperation.
The fair, being held at the Dimani Grounds in Zanzibar from December 29, 2025 to January 16, 2026, is part of the celebrations marking the anniversary of the Zanzibar Revolution.
It has brought together government leaders, business communities, investors and trade stakeholders from across Tanzania and beyond, creating an important meeting point for strengthening economic ties.
Through its exhibition pavilion, the Ministry has continued to attract visits from senior government officials, private sector players and members of the public, who are receiving first-hand information on Tanzania’s foreign policy priorities and the country’s engagement within the East African Community and other regional and international blocs.
The pavilion has also provided a forum for discussions on trade, investment and partnership opportunities available both locally and internationally, underscoring the Ministry’s role in promoting Tanzania as a competitive destination for investment and a reliable partner in regional and global markets.
