The ACT Wazalendo Regional Leadership Committee for Mkoani Region has continued its party-building tour in Mtambile Constituency, bringing together leadership committees from all party branches within the constituency to strengthen the party’s organisational foundations.

The meeting focused on reinforcing discipline, unity and adherence to constitutional principles as key pillars for building a strong and effective party.

Leaders emphasised that well-functioning party structures are essential for accountability, cohesion and effective political organisation at branch and constituency levels.

Speaking at the meeting, the Mkoani Regional Secretary for Information and Publicity, Muhammed Khamis, urged branch leadership committees in Mtambile to fulfil their constitutional duties by convening and conducting regular meetings in accordance with the party’s constitution.

He said such meetings are critical for enhancing accountability, unity and the overall vitality of the party.

He also called on leaders to intensify efforts to recruit new members while ensuring that all members who have not yet collected their Zan ID cards do so at district offices, describing the exercise as an important constitutional and civic responsibility.

Muhammed Khamis noted that a strong party is one that strictly observes constitutional principles by holding lawful meetings at all levels.

He added that the party’s struggle is not limited to internal leadership changes, but is aimed at strengthening Zanzibar’s capacity to manage its own affairs in line with the interests of the people.

ACT Wazalendo Central Committee member Seif Khamis urged members to maintain trust in the party’s top leadership during the current phase of political engagement.

He said the party’s solid foundations, clear principles and long-term vision give members confidence in its direction.

He further encouraged members to remain ready to volunteer in party-building activities by actively participating in political, social and organisational initiatives, stressing that the party’s success depends on unity, discipline and commitment.

The party-building tour will continue on Saturday, January 10, 2026, in Chambani Constituency.
