Tanzania’s rapid economic growth and major government investments are delivering real benefits to citizens, but they also attract attention from those who may wish to undermine the nation, Chief Government Spokesperson Mr. Gerson Msigwa has said.
He called on all Tanzanians to remain vigilant and play an active role in protecting the country’s progress.
Speaking in an interview in Dar es Salaam, Mr. Msigwa highlighted key initiatives transforming the nation:
“Our country is moving toward a strong gas-driven economy and a thriving rare minerals sector. Strategic investments in Dar es Salaam Port and the upcoming Bagamoyo Port are opening opportunities for trade, jobs, and long-term development.
“Large-scale projects such as the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR), already connecting key regions and soon extending to neighboring countries, along with our expanding energy sector, are set to bring unprecedented prosperity to Tanzanians.”
He noted that while these achievements are a blessing, they also attract internal and external adversaries.
“It is the responsibility of every Tanzanian to remain alert, united, and committed to protecting the hard work that has been done. We cannot allow anyone to sabotage the progress we have achieved together.”
Mr. Msigwa urged citizens to view themselves as active partners in national development.
“The government is laying the foundation for a brighter future, but it is up to each Tanzanian to safeguard these achievements. By staying vigilant and working together, we can ensure that every citizen benefits from this period of growth and prosperity.”he added
