Minister of State in the President’s Office for Youth Development, Joel Nanauka, has urged Youth Development Officers across Tanzania to address the challenges facing young people using strategic, inclusive approaches guided by the principles of speed, accessibility, and technology.
Speaking at the closing of a national working session for Youth Development Officers from regions and councils at Hazina Hall in Dodoma on December 18, 2025, Nanauka said this approach would strengthen coordination and ensure efficient implementation of youth programs.
The session set resolutions to enhance the effectiveness of youth development initiatives, improve coordination, and ensure that government resources and opportunities reach young people, boosting both social and economic benefits.
It also emphasized the need to continue coordinating dedicated youth platforms to listen to, discuss, and resolve issues affecting young people.
Officers were further urged to identify and promote youth centers in their areas to expand local support services.
