The Executive Secretary of the National Sports Council (BMT), Ms. Neema Msitha, has been honored with a special award by the Federation of Sports for Public Organizations, Institutions, and Private Companies in Tanzania (SHIMMUTA) in recognition of her exceptional contribution to the development and promotion of sports across the country.
The award was presented today by SHIMMUTA Chairperson, Ms. Roselyne Mathew Massam, as a token of appreciation for BMT’s efforts in overseeing, coordinating, and promoting sports initiatives, particularly within public institutions and private companies.
Ms. Msitha’s leadership has been instrumental in advancing sports programs, fostering talent development, and strengthening collaboration between government agencies and private organizations to enhance Tanzania’s sporting landscape.
The recognition highlights the growing importance of structured sports development in nurturing athletes, encouraging healthy lifestyles, and boosting national pride through sporting achievements.
