The President of Zanzibar and Chairperson of the Revolutionary Council, Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi, has appointed eight new members to the House of Representatives, effective today.
The appointees, who include Shariff Ali Shariff, Masoud Ali Mohammed, Dr. Saada Mkuya Salum, Nadir Abdullatif Alwardy, Idrisa Kitwana Mustafa, Tawfik Salim Turky, Said Ali Juma, and Dr. Juma Malik Akil, are expected to report to the House on November 7, 2025.
The announcement was made official through a statement signed by Eng. Zena A. Said, Secretary of the Revolutionary Council and Chief Secretary to the Government of Zanzibar.
