Young Africans (Yanga SC) will be looking to secure another crucial three points when they take on Kinondoni Municipal Council FC (KMC) tomorrow at the KMC Complex in Dar es Salaam, in a highly anticipated NBC Premier League fixture.

Yanga head coach Patrick Mabedi expressed confidence in his squad’s readiness, noting that the team has used the preparation period effectively and is determined to maintain momentum in the title race.

“We have had a good week of preparation and the players have been fully committed,” said Mabedi.

“Every match in this league matters, and to achieve our targets we must respect each opponent. Tomorrow’s match will not be easy, but we are going in with a winning mentality.”he added

Mabedi emphasized that the club’s approach goes beyond simply collecting points, describing tomorrow’s game as another step in building a consistent and competitive team.

“For us, it is not only about getting the three points. We also want to continue improving our style of play and strengthen our confidence. To win upcoming matches, we must stay focused, create chances, and be more clinical in finishing,” he added.

The coach also called on Yanga supporters to fill the stands, saying their presence makes a significant difference.

“Our fans are always our 12th player. Their energy pushes us. We ask them to come out once again, support us, and enjoy the football we want to showcase,” he said.

Midfielder Edmund John shared the same optimism, noting that the squad understands the importance of the match and is ready to rise to the challenge.

“We are playing a strong team, but we are well prepared. Every player knows how important tomorrow is, and we believe we can get the three points,” John said.

He added that if given playing time, he is committed to giving everything for the team.

“My responsibility is to help the team working with my teammates and the technical bench. If I get the chance tomorrow, I will do my best to contribute to the victory,” he stated.

Yanga will be aiming to maintain their strong league form, while KMC will hope to use home advantage to upset the defending champions. The match is scheduled to kick off tomorrow afternoon at the KMC Complex.
