Tanzanians are being assured of stronger, more responsive service delivery in the infrastructure sector following the arrival of Minister Abdallah Ulega and Deputy Minister Eng. Godfrey Kasekenya at the Ministry of Works on Tuesday.
The two leaders reported to office shortly after being sworn in at Chamwino State House.
Their entry marks renewed hope for many citizens who depend on reliable roads, bridges, and transport networks for their daily activities from transporting crops to accessing essential services.
Addressing staff during a welcoming ceremony, Minister Ulega said the expectations of citizens remain at the center of the ministry’s work.
He emphasized that President Samia Suluhu Hassan has made it clear that the next phase must focus on visible results.
“We are here to serve Tanzanians. Every project we deliver must make their lives easier,” Ulega said.
“The President expects impact, and we must work with integrity and speed to bring real change to communities across the country.”he added
Ulega thanked President Samia for renewing her trust in him and called on ministry employees to maintain the spirit of cooperation that has supported major national projects in recent years.
Deputy Minister Eng. Kasekenya reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to accountability and efficiency, noting that the public deserves timely and high-quality services.
“We will work as one team to speed up implementation and ensure that every shilling is used to benefit the people,” he said.
With the new leadership settling in, Tanzanians are looking forward to smoother road projects, reduced delays, and improved communication on government infrastructure plans.
The Ministry of Works remains a key pillar in national development, and citizens hope the renewed leadership will translate into safer travel, stronger local economies, and better connectivity across the country.
