The Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA) is working with the Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac Institute (JKCI) to promote greater investment in the country’s health sector.
The partnership aims to use JKCI’s strong reputation in providing modern and reliable heart treatment to encourage both local and international investors to support the expansion of advanced health facilities.
TISEZA believes that JKCI’s achievements, especially in offering specialized cardiac services to patients from across Tanzania and the region, present a strong foundation for attracting investors interested in long-term projects in healthcare.
The authority sees opportunities for the development of hospitals, training centers, and research facilities that can improve medical outcomes and strengthen service delivery.
JKCI, on its side, is looking to expand its capacity to meet the growing number of patients requiring heart care.
The institute hopes the collaboration will lead to the establishment of a large, modern cardiac hospital that will increase treatment access and reduce the need for patients to seek specialized care outside the country.
The cooperation is expected to support the government’s broader effort to improve the quality of healthcare, ensure the availability of advanced medical equipment, and make specialized treatment more accessible to communities across Tanzania.
If successful, the initiative could position Tanzania as a regional hub for advanced medical services, while also supporting economic growth through new investment opportunities in the health sector.
