Police reassure Dar es Salaam residents of safety ahead of Simba–Petro Atlético match

The Dar es Salaam Special Zone Police have assured residents that the city remains safe as security teams continue joint operations with other state agencies and community members to prevent crime in all major areas of the city.

Police officials say public cooperation has strengthened their ability to detect and prevent criminal acts, thanks to information shared by citizens who are committed to keeping their neighborhoods secure.

As the city prepares to host the CAF Champions League group-stage match between Simba SC and Petro Atlético of Angola on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, the Police are calling on football fans to uphold peace and responsible conduct.

Authorities reminded spectators to avoid any actions that may threaten safety, disrupt order, or cause unnecessary tension during the event. 

They emphasized that safe stadium environments depend not only on security forces but also on the discipline and cooperation of every fan.

The Dar es Salaam Police extended their good wishes to Simba SC and encouraged residents to enjoy the match while prioritizing harmony and mutual respect.
