Minister of Home Affairs, George Simbachawene, has called on citizens to maintain peace and cooperate with the police to strengthen national security.

On November 25, 2025, the minister toured several police stations damaged during the October 29 unrest, including Ubungo, Temboni, Mbezi Juu, and Salasala.

He noted that the destruction has disrupted operations at some stations, preventing residents from accessing essential services.

“Damage to government and private property is not just a loss to the nation; it also wastes resources meant to serve the people,” Simbachawene said.

He assured that the government has already taken swift action to restore the affected police infrastructure and urged citizens to continue supporting law enforcement.

“Solidarity with the police is essential for maintaining peace, stability, and harmony in our communities,” he added.

The minister’s visit underscores the government’s commitment to ensuring public safety while rebuilding key facilities to serve the community efficiently.
