The Tanzania under-20 women’s national team, the Tanzanite Girls, are preparing to face Angola tomorrow in the second leg of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers in Luanda, Angola.
Tanzania entered the tie strongly, recording a 4-0 victory over Angola in the first leg at Azam Complex Stadium, Chamazi, Dar es Salaam.
Speaking from Angola, team spokesperson Zaituni Yusuph said the players are fully prepared, highly motivated, and determined to deliver another strong performance.
“Our aim is to secure a positive result that will allow us to advance to the next stage and qualify for the World Cup,” Yusuph stated.
She emphasized that coach Bakari Shime has been working to correct the mistakes observed in the first-leg match, ensuring they do not recur in tomorrow’s game.
Yusuph also called on Tanzanians both in Angola and back home to rally behind the team, offering their support and prayers as the girls aim for another victory.
