The Samia Netiboll Cup final will be held on September 20 at Magomeni Garden in Dar es Salaam, organizers have confirmed. The match, originally scheduled for September 3, was postponed due to the ongoing Tanzania Military Games (BAMATA) in Zanzibar.
JKT and Magereza have secured their spots in the final, which is now set to take place immediately after the BAMATA competitions conclude.
Speaking to The Respondent Online, Kassim Ahmad, Executive Director of Twende Pamoja and Mama Sports Foundation, explained that the rescheduling was necessary because the finalist teams are currently participating in military tournaments.
“With the overlap of these tournaments and the teams involved, we had to wait until they complete their matches before holding our final,” Ahmad said.
He added that preparations are in full swing to ensure a high-quality final, promising a competitive and fair match to determine the champion.
“The competition has been intense, with each team carefully selecting and registering their best players. While all teams are strong, there can only be one winner. We are confident that when they return, they will be fully prepared to deliver an exciting and memorable final,” Ahmad said.
Fans can expect a thrilling showdown as JKT and Magereza battle for the Samia Netiboll Cup crown later this month.
