The Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA) has stepped up efforts to deepen Tanzania’s visibility in the European travel market, using the “My Tanzania Roadshow 2025 Europe” as a platform to market both tourism and investment opportunities.
Deputy Conservation Commissioner for Corporate Services, Aidan Makalla, accompanied by Senior Assistant Tourism Officer Abdiel Laizer, met with tour operators and investors across Stuttgart in Germany, Salzburg in Austria, Ljubljana in Slovenia, and Milan in Italy from September 22 to 27.
Their mission was clear: position Ngorongoro as not only a premier wildlife destination but also an investment hub in conservation-driven ventures.
The annual roadshow, organized by KILIFAIR, has grown into a strategic space for business-to-business networking between Tanzanian and European companies.
More than 80 firms from Tanzania and Germany are participating this year, underscoring the sector’s reliance on partnerships to expand market share.
Tourism remains one of Tanzania’s fastest-growing foreign exchange earners, but competition within Africa and beyond requires sharper marketing and stronger presence in source markets.
Europe continues to supply a significant proportion of high-spending visitors, making initiatives like this roadshow critical to sustaining arrivals and revenues.
By emphasizing Ngorongoro’s blend of natural heritage, cultural diversity, and investment potential, NCAA is aligning itself with the government’s broader strategy to increase arrivals to five million visitors annually by 2025.
The message to European operators is that Tanzania offers more than safaris it offers a package of experiences and opportunities that can generate sustainable returns for both the tourism industry and conservation efforts.
