Chamwino District in Dodoma is intensifying preparations for the 2025 General Election following a visit by the Chairperson of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Justice of Appeal Jacobs Mwambegele, on September 25, 2025.

The visit covered Chamwino and Mtera constituencies, providing an opportunity to assess the readiness of the district for the upcoming polls.

Justice Mwambegele was briefed by the District Electoral Officer on preparations for the Presidential, Parliamentary, and Councilor elections.

He also inspected electoral materials, including ballot papers, voter registers, and other essential equipment, which have already been delivered to the district council.

The inspection aimed to ensure that all systems are in place for a smooth, transparent, and credible election process.

During the visit, the INEC Chair called on citizens to actively participate in the electoral process. “Your Vote, Your Right – Come Out and Vote,” he urged, emphasizing that every vote counts in shaping the country’s democratic future.

The 2025 General Election is scheduled for October 29, 2025, and INEC is working closely with local authorities to address any logistical or operational challenges in advance.

The Commission’s proactive approach in districts like Chamwino underscores its commitment to ensuring efficient and credible elections across the country.

With continued preparation and community engagement, Chamwino District is set to play a key role in demonstrating transparency, accountability, and the importance of citizen participation in strengthening Tanzania’s democracy.
