TARURA educates citizens on community road maintenance

The Rural and Urban Roads Agency (TARURA) is actively participating in this year’s National Nane Nane Agricultural Exhibitions at the Nzuguni Grounds in Dodoma.

TARURA's goal is to raise awareness among citizens about its responsibilities in road construction and maintenance across the country. The agency is also using this platform to listen to public feedback and concerns.

Ms. Catherine Sungura, Head of TARURA’s Public Relations and Communications, said the agency is focused on educating the public about key areas such as routine road maintenance, repair of critical sections, environmental management, and community engagement.

“Our experts at the TARURA pavilion are ready to guide citizens and stakeholders on how they can take part in small-scale road repairs through organized community groups,” said Ms. Sungura.

She encouraged the public to visit the TARURA booth and other displays from the President’s Office   Regional Administration and Local Government (PO-RALG) located in the "Government Zone Pavilion 2" to learn more about how these institutions serve the community.
