Tanzanian businesses and exporters have been urged to seize the opportunity to participate in the 40th Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI), scheduled to take place from 15 to 19 October 2025 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD in Jakarta.

The annual event, organised by the Directorate General of National Export Development under Indonesia’s Ministry of Trade, is regarded as the country’s largest and most trusted business-to-business (B2B) trade exhibition.

It aims to connect global buyers with leading Indonesian producers, suppliers, and business partners.

According to the Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TanTrade), the expo offers a platform for Tanzanian entrepreneurs to showcase their products, explore new market opportunities, and network with international stakeholders.

Registration for participation is now open via the TanTrade website, with limited slots available.

“Trade Expo Indonesia presents a golden chance for our business community to expand their market reach and secure valuable partnerships,” TanTrade stated in a notice, encouraging early registration.

For the convenience of participants, a travel agent based in Dar es Salaam is offering travel packages that cover return international flights, five nights at Yello Hotel Harmoni in Jakarta, daily breakfast, airport transfers, and a disposable vehicle with a driver for city travel. The package also includes a one-day English-speaking guide.

Package rates vary depending on the airline: Emirates (USD 2,495 single / USD 2,410 double), Qatar Airways (USD 2,330 single / USD 2,250 double), and Ethiopian Airlines (USD 1,305 single / USD 1,220 double).

Prices are subject to change based on flight fares and hotel availability.

The TEI 2025 will feature business matching sessions, product showcases, and networking opportunities across sectors such as manufacturing, agribusiness, textiles, technology, and creative industries.

TanTrade says the event aligns with Tanzania’s efforts to strengthen trade and investment ties with Indonesia and other Asian markets.
