By Flora Mkoloma

Simba Sports Club has officially announced the signing of prolific Ghanaian striker Jonathan Sowah on a two-year deal, reinforcing their attacking force ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Sowah joins from Singida Black Stars, where he showcased exceptional form last season by scoring 15 goals in 15 matches  a performance that caught the eye of top clubs across the region.

His efficiency in front of goal and ability to convert chances with minimal touches made him a prime target for Simba’s technical bench.

Simba believes the 24-year-old forward, who has experience in both domestic and international competitions, will add significant value to the team as they chase silverware on multiple fronts, including the CAF Champions League and domestic titles.

Speaking after sealing the move, Sowah expressed his excitement at joining one of Africa’s most ambitious clubs:

“Simba is a big club with great ambition. When they reached out, it didn’t take long for me to make a decision. It’s every player’s dream to join a team like this. I’m here to give my best and help the team achieve its goals.”he added

His former club, Singida Black Stars, confirmed the transfer earlier this week, noting that the move was finalized through special mutual agreements between both sides.

With Sowah now officially part of the squad, Simba fans will be eager to see how the Ghanaian forward fits into Head Coach Abdelhak Benchikha’s plans as the club prepares to compete at the highest level in the 2025/26 season.
