The Ministry of Energy has invited citizens to visit its pavilion at the ongoing Nane Nane Agricultural Exhibition in Dodoma to learn more about Tanzania’s Special Energy Plan for 2025–2030.

The plan, which was signed during the January 2025 African Heads of State Summit on Mission 300, aims to connect 8.3 million people to electricity by 2030 and ensure that 75 percent of Tanzanians access clean cooking energy.

According to the Ministry, the plan also focuses on expanding electricity generation and increasing the share of renewable energy sources in the country’s power mix.

The Nane Nane exhibition serves as a key platform for ministries and stakeholders to showcase progress in national development agendas and share information with the public.

The Ministry emphasizes that public awareness and participation are crucial to achieving energy access targets and building a sustainable energy future for Tanzania.
